Canadian pipeline and utility dividend payers

The pipelines that move Canada's oil and gas, and the utilities that deliver its electricity and natural gas: how often they pay and how long they've raised.

General information, not financial advice. No prices or yields on this page: those change every day and live in the app.

Pipelines and regulated utilities are some of the best-known dividend payers on the TSX. Much of their revenue comes from long-term contracts or from rates approved by regulators. That usually makes their cash flow steadier than that of companies whose income depends directly on commodity prices. Long-term dividend investors often look at both groups for that reason. They also carry their own risks: high debt, regulatory decisions, interest-rate sensitivity and project delays. This page lists the largest, longest-established names with their payment frequency, raise streaks and sourced dividend facts. Live yields are in the app.

How to read this page. “Raise streak” is consecutive calendar years with a higher total dividend per share, as the app counts it. Where the company gives its own count, it is quoted too.
